Performance Opportunities
Throughout the year, The Dance Academy Del Mar offers an array of exceptional opportunities for our dancers to shine on stage through fully staged productions at professional theaters, giving every student meaningful stage presence and confidence from a young age.
Our annual performances include an elegant Spring Ballet performance, where students showcase their growth in a professional theater setting. Additionally, our vibrant summer recital brings our dance family together, celebrating every dancer across all ages from beginner to advanced showcasing every dance genre. Our beloved Nutcracker Performance is a cherished tradition, welcoming students from age 3 through adults into a full production performed alongside guest artists.
Students can further their technical development through RAD Exams, earning internationally recognized credentials that validate their hard work. Those who aspire for excellence can also participate in Elite Ballet Competitions, testing their abilities on a prestigious level.

The Dance Academy Del Mar welcomes students as young as two months old through our newly launched Baby Steps Program! This program is designed for infants and toddlers (ages two months to three years) and their caregivers to experience meaningful moments through movement, music, and connection. Our offerings include specialized classes like Baby Carrier Dance, Baby & Me bonding experiences, Grandma & Me classes, and the Mummy Meet Up & Movement class for new mothers. As children grow, we also offer first ballet, storytime dance, and fun movement classes for ages 2–3.

The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is one of the most respected ballet education programs in the world. The Dance Academy Del Mar is the only studio in San Diego offering the RAD curriculum. Students follow a structured, internationally recognized syllabus and may take official RAD ballet examinations annually to earn credentials recognized globally.

The Dance Academy Del Mar offers a full range of adult dance classes in Carmel Valley/Del Mar, including adult beginner ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, salsa, PBT stretch and strengthening, and RAD Silver Swans ballet program for adults aged 55 and over. Classes are available for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced dancers.
