TDA Del Mar is proud to offer a variety of adult classes at our studio. Our Adult classes are open level (unless otherwise specified) and we welcome dancers of all experience levels and ages to our classes.

From beginners to advanced, and everyone in between, we invite you to stop by for a class and share our love of dance!

Adult classes are all $30 for drop in lessons, or $250 for a class package of 10 lessons. If you would like to join one of our adult classes, please go through our register button and create a free account with us – you can then add yourself to the classes you would like at no charge until you come to the studio and sign in for your class. 

We also accept adult class bookings through ClassPass!

  • Welcome to Adult Tap! A blend of rhythmic percussion and fun filled dancing, Tap is the worlds first American dance style created in the early 1900's from a blend of traditional Irish & African rhythmic dancing. In the modern day, Tap spans from percussive performance, to Broadway, and beyond! Adult Beginner Tap will break down the foundations of Tap technique and work through choreography and rhythms, and make sure you have a blast & work out your body and mind along the way. We welcome adult dancers of all ages, and encourage modifications as needed throughout class for each individuals ability level.

  • Silver Swans® classes have been specifically designed for the over 55s, but whatever your age, if you are looking for a new way to keep fit and active, our ballet classes will put a spring in your step. The RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) has developed this program based on research into dance practice for adult learners, and our classes are taught by Silver Swans licensees who have been trained by the RAD. Adult Beginner Tap introduces the foundations of one of America's original dance styles. Class works through tap technique, choreography, and rhythms in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment. All adult dancers are welcome, with modifications encouraged based on individual ability level.

Monday 10:30 to 11:30 AM - Adult Intermediate Tap

Building on core tap foundations, Adult Intermediate Tap works through more complex rhythms and choreography for dancers ready to advance their technique and challenge their dance skills further.

Wednesday 9:30 to 10:30 AM - Silver Swans Ballet

A Royal Academy of Dance program designed specifically for adults aged 55 and above. Silver Swans classes are taught by RAD-licensed instructors and deliver a structured, research-based approach to adult ballet. Full details in the section below.

Saturday 6:30 to 7:30 PM - Adult Salsa - Couples and Singles
