She had a vision to open a true Performing Arts Academy and ROYAL ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS (RAPA) a 15,000 sq ft state of the art facility became a reality. It was truly amazing, offering all styles of dance including: Acting Classes, Voice lessons, Pilates, Yoga and so many more opportunities for aspiring artists. ⠀

Francine’s mission is to make sure that every child reaches their full potential whether they dance once a week or they are pursuing a professional career. She strives to make every child feel special and to make her studio more than just dance. Arwen started dancing when she was 10 years old, at North County Dance Arts with Louis Mckay, and immediately fell in love with dance. She graduated from UC Irvine in 2004 with a BA in Dance and an Excellence in Choreography award. After living in New York City for two years, performing and on scholarship at Broadway Dance Center, Arwen was in a horrific car accident that left her face shattered, with a prosthetic left eye, and a long road of 20+ lengthy and experimental surgeries ahead of her.
In 2006, she began to build a very successful dance program at Encinitas Country Day School, for the next 6 years, and then moved on to open her own competitive, reputable, and family oriented dance studio in 2012 called the Arwen Daniels Dance Academy, until January 2019, when she felt it was time to shift her focus to something different. In the beginning of 2019, Arwen decided it was time to close her own studio, wanting to reignite her passion for teaching again. ⠀⠀
She took the position of the JV Contemporary Head Coach at Torrey Pines High School in March of 2019, and started teaching at North County Dance Arts, where her dance journey began 26 years ago, once again, until they suddenly closed their doors after 40 years on August 1. Specializing in coaching and training pre teen and teenage aspiring professional dancers one on one, she continues to give multiple private lessons daily, and is ecstatic to begin this new journey with Ms. Francine Garton at the Dance Academy Del Mar, as the contemporary, lyrical, jazz, and stretch and strengthening teacher. ⠀
Arwen shares the overall mission statement with Francine, of creating strong, well rounded dancers with a positive body and self image, who will be successful as young adults no matter what they choose to do with their adult lives, having learned invaluable skills, friendships, tools, and habits, through their time spent at the Dance Academy Del Mar, to face whatever challenges today’s world presents.⠀

Tony was a recipient of the prestigious Edge Performing Arts Center Pro-Dance Scholarship where he studied intensively with top teachers in the industry.⠀
As a professional dancer Tony has performed in various Disney stage shows including “Big Band Beat” at Tokyo Disney, “Snow White an Enchanted Musical” at the Fantasyland Theater in Disneyland, “Celebrate the Season” in front of Cinderella’s Castle at Walt Disney World, and Disney’s “Lighten Up” at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood. Tony’s favorite and most notable credits would be dancing with Miley Cyrus for Disney/ABC Christmas and dancing on the “Britney/Brittany” episode of Glee with Lea Michele and Britney Spears. ⠀

Most recently you can see Tony dancing in “Visualizing a Villain” featuring the famous painter David Garibaldi in the bonus features of Disney’s The Lion King on DVD, in Tokyo, Japan in Broadway Christmas Wonderland, or currently on stage at Disney’s California Adventure in Frozen: Live at the Hyperion. ⠀
Tony can be found teaching Musical Theater and Jazz classes on faculty of Celebrity Dance Conventions, and in addition to that he tours with Celebrity Competitions as their Director of Judges. In his spare time Tony enjoys traveling the country bringing dance workshops and choreography to studios all over.
